A cataract is an opacity that develops in the lens of the eye. It usually blocks the light that passes thru the eyes. This case usually happens to old people.

I know a little about cataract but I am so afraid of getting this. I do not want my precious eyes to be blocked by it. I cannot say that I am really taking care of my eyes since I am always in front of my computer screen. Anyway, my grandmother has a cataract on her right eye. It’s already that big that’s why it’s no longer just an opacity but whitish blue in color. Though that’s not the real reason why my grandmother cannot see but I think if she had taken care of her eyes in the past, this thing won’t happen.

Nowadays, cataract is no longer that much of a problem since there are a lot of technologies invented that resolve this problem. And the latest breakthrough is the refractive cataract surgery. It’s good that such technologies are being invented. This means that people, especially the oldies, will be able to keep their vision as clearly as possible. Hay… I hope such technologies were invented in the past. Maybe if that thing happened, my grandmother can see images right now.
