I’m so going to have a headache right now. I just finished the manga version of Paradise Kiss and I’m pretty disappointed with the ending. I can’t believe that I sacrificed my time in watching Naruto just to finish this manga.
Actually, the manga is really a great read. It’s innovative since it does not have the old-fashioned logic. By the way, this falls under the Drama/Romance category. Sadly, I’m not open to innovation when it comes to Drama especially in Romance. Yes, I’m still a big sucker for fairytale endings. Whenever I read something that has a little bit of romance in it, I am always hoping that the prince and the princess would find their way back into each others’ arms no matter how powerful the witch is. Other than that, I am always driven to what I’m reading that’s why I always get frustrated whenever the turn of events didn’t go my way. I know it’s not something to brag about; but, isn’t it that it’s not something to be embarrassed of? I am like this ever since I was a little girl. I guess this is the effect of watching Disney’s Cinderella every day before I go to school. The logic that whenever there’s a princess, there will always be a prince who will fight for her.
It sounds silly and I admit that it really is. But do you know what’s the silliest part? I’m not an ounce romantic in reality. Not only that but I also hate girls who are pretending to be damsels in distress. In reality, I’m like that but whenever I’m reading a good romance material, my perspectives always change.
I don’t know if I’m being hypocrite this way, or even a poser. I don’t know… and I don’t care. All I know is I’ve lived with that kind of intuition since I was a kid.

That’s it for now. I’ll blog hop tomorrow. I’ll rest my eyes for the mean time. I’ve been reading for how many hours straight.

[...] I have no idea about this anime except for the fact that this is based from the popular manga by Matsuri Hino entitled with the same name. The manga series of this anime is indeed a popular one since it surpassed the viewing sessions of the ever-favorite Naruto and Bleach at Manga Fox when I was still reading Paradise Kiss. [...]

Ah… ParaKiss. How long has it been since I read this manga? It’s actually one of my favorites too. But unlike you, I love the ending. The storyline just proved the fact that sometime, love isn’t enough to keep things together. And that sometimes, we have to let go, no matter how much we long that someone.
