Kaicho Wa Maid-sama Anime to Air in 2010

It seems that Kaicho wa Maid-sama! will join the manga turned anime bandwagon. The announcement regarding the anime adaptation is announced on the October 2009 issue of Lala Magazine. The said anime adaptation will air this Spring 2010 in Tokyo Broadcasting Network and BS-TBS.
Along with the announcement is the teaser of the anime-fied manga. Well, this isn’t really much of a teaser but this colored picture of Misaki and Usui seems to hint fans of how they will look like in their anime form.

Given that this is a shoujo manga and the series is still on-going, I do not expect much from the anime adaptation. No offense meant but anime adaptations of shoujo mangas are way behind the adaptations of shounen mangas. But let’s all hope (and pray) that the producers and the staff behind the anime-fication of Kaicho wa Maid-sama! will do great in their work.
