public display of affection

If you’re from the Philippines, then you probably know where this can be found. For the sake of my other visitors, the scene in the picture is taken on the bridge of the biggest mall in my country (or probably the biggest in asia), the SM Mall of Asia. The reason why I have posted that picture is because I am really curious why there are a lot of couples who always display intimate affections in public places to their loves ones. And whenever I go to the overlooking bridge in MOA, I always see couples kissing and hugging or probably even touching each other. I totally respect the idea of ‘intimacy’ between couples but the thing that I do not understand is: why do they have to show those intimate affections in public places? Where’s the intimacy there?

Please do not get the wrong idea, I am not someone from the past who’s able to barge into existence in the new millennium. It’s just that it totally pisses me off because they’re showing their affections in the wrong place and, probably, at the wrong time. If they really want to touch, kiss and hug each other, why not rent a room? Come to think of it, motels are really cheap especially if it is located in a third world country like the Philippines.

don’t pretend

I really hate it when people are pretending to be nice whenever you’re around. I hate it when they say nice words in front of you though they really don’t mean it.

I know it’s hard to say that you hate a person but don’t pretend that you’re ok with them, especially if you’re boiling inside. :gum_blank: Or if you’re bold enough, just say the truth. Confront the person and tell him/her the reasons why he/she is being hated. It’s hard and it will definitely hurt the other party but if it’s the only way to make things better, then why not? :gum_smile:

Note: I shared some of my sites to my personal network. :gum_shyness: I cannot post personal-related stuffs anymore because they can be easily traced by my friends and other people directly connected to me. :gum_shyness:

if given a chance

When I was about to go to sleep, I decided to take one last look on my inbox before shutting down my computer. To my surprise, there was someone who commented on my post last year that concerns my thesis.

The first sentence is in Filipino so I’ll translate it for those who cannot understand the langauge.

She said: Hi. I saw the needed components of a thesis on your site. I’ll use it for my thesis too. Thanks.

Those simple words of her really touched my heart. In the middle of the night, she lit up my gloomy and dreadful look. But until now, I’m wondering how she’s able to find that post because the exact date that I posted that was way back on the 6th of January last year! Anyways it doesn’t matter anymore - I’m just glad that it helped her. :D

Anyhow, I just finished watching Project Make Over in crunchyroll. It’s a korean movie that was released in 2006. I admit, the first part of the movie bores me so much and I really wonder what convinced me to continue watching it. So yeah, I finished the movie and I’m really glad that I did. The movie is wonderful - I really like the concept. The concept, by the way, is the main character goes back in time to change her life. Too bad, fate really is that persistent so the events that happened in her life (before she came back in time) still happened. Due to the fact that everything is flabbergasted, she even admitted to her mother that she’s not the person she’s portraying to be (she introduced herself as Alice, her cousin who lives in America) and admitted that she’s her mother’s daughter, aged 30. In the end, she admitted defeat to herself and goes back to the present time.

If you would be given a chance to correct all your mistakes, would you take the risk?

As for me, I guess I won’t. I just thought that all those that I’ve been through made me the real me. If it isn’t for those events, I wouldn’t be the me now. Yes, there are times that I regret my decisions, in fact there are a lot of times! But no matter how hard I regret those, it’s not enough to make me go back in time. More than that, past is past. Even though I can do something to change it - like going back in time, let’s just say that it is possible - I would still not do it for the present time is what matters most.

What about you, would you take the risk of changing everything? Or you’re already contented with what you are now?

Sorry if this post is pretty long than my usual entries. By the way, I’d love to know your answers! I know it’s pretty silly but just answer it… there’s no need to read the whole entry. :fairy:
